UKSE7ENS will be looking to make the 2012 Championship weekend Europes biggest 7-a-side football festival. The important dates for your diary this year are Friday 15th - Sunday 17th June 2012.
The last 4 UKSE7ENS Championships have featured 43-62 mens and ladies teams. This year we are looking to accomodate upto 72 teams (~48 mens and 24 ladies), competing over 8 pitches during the weekend.

The Format
We will be using a similar format to previous years in that the qualifying rounds to determine which cup you will compete for will take place on the Saturday with the Sunday featuring mini qualification groups in the morning to determine which sides go through to the final knockout phases.
All teams will be drawn into groups of 6 for the Saturday and will play each other once in 10-minute each way matches. At the completion of the group stage the top two in the men’s section (top three in the ladies) qualify for the National Championship on the Sunday, the teams that finish 3rd and 4th (or the bottom 3 in the ladies section) go into the Supplementary Cup and finally the bottom two in each of the men’s group will qualify for the Memorial Cup. This ensures that whatever you playing standard there will be something for you to compete for on the Sunday.
All sides are then redrawn into groups for Sunday. Again each team play’s each other once in 10-minute each way matches and at the end of the group stage the top two progress to the quarter-finals of the competition they qualified for.
Sunday afternoon then see’s the conclusion of the weekend’s activities with the completion of the knockout phases of the cups.

Friday and Saturday night entertainment
Friday night is England vs Sweden at Euro 2012. The kick off is at 6.45pm and all sides are welcome to meet up at UK& official bar/club sailors to watch the match and receive massive discounts on drinks and food to get your weekend started.
After the success of neon rave night in 2010 and pub golf in 2011, Saturday night fancy dress theme this year will be the Olympics with an Olympic drinking course planned out around Newquay.
