
UKSE7ENS is back again for 2010. The date for your diaries will fall over the weekend of Saturday 22nd May and Sunday 23rd May 2010, with teams arriving on Friday 21st May in order to kick start their weekend.
The Football festival promises to be one of the highlights of the summer as we are combining a quality football tournament with a weekend away at one of the UK’s finest resorts, and some of the best nightlife in the country. If you are looking for a summer break, end of season tour or just to do something different on your usual pilgrimage to Newquay then this is the package for you and ALL LEVELS ARE CATERED FOR
THE TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The 2010 tournament is played out over the Saturday and the Sunday.
Saturday
Qualifying groups
All the sides are randomly drawn into groups of 6 teams (6 groups of 6 in the mens and 4 groups of 6 in the ladies tournaments). Sides play the other teams in their group once on the Saturday in 10-minute each way matches. Once the group stage is complete the top 3 in each group qualify for the Champions Cup phase of the tournament, while the bottom 3 teams go into the Supplementary Cup. The better your team performs in the group qualifiers means the 'easier' your draw will be on the Sunday in the Mini Groups.
Sunday
Champions Cup and Supplementary Cup Mini Groups
Sides are drawn into new mini groups for the Sunday phase of the tournament. Based on a teams performance in the group stages they are seeded and drawn into groups of 3 teams. Each team plays each other once. In both the Mens Champions Cup and Supplementary Cup the top side in each group qualifies for the Quarter Finals of either Cup with the two second place teams boasting the best records also joining them. In the womens tournament the top two sides in both the Champions Cup and Supplementary Cup mini groups progress to tyhe Quarter Finals.
The Knockout phase
All sides involved in the knockout phases of the tournament battle it out in 12 minute each way matches. If a match is tied at the end of 24-minutes then the match will be decided by a best of 5 penalty shootout (and then sudden death penalties if the score is still tied).
Champions
The mens and ladies winners of the UK7's Champions Cup will win a massive trophy to keep,limited edition UK7's medals, champagne to celebrate, beer to drink, and also come back to the tournament free of charge, with accommodation included the following year to defend their title. The men and ladies winners of the UK7's Supplementary Cup will be awarded a trophy to keep, UK7's medals, champagne, and beer to toast the victory.

Then to confirm your place all we require is a deposit of £30pp which will be redeemed off your final payment which is not due until April 2010.
