A number of players have achieved legedary status since the inception of UKSevens in 2008. It is here were we honour those guys and girls who have brought something special to the UKSevens weekend. New players will be inducted into the UKSevens Legends hall of Fame in the build upto the 2012 weekend.

	James Wilson - The Smurfs James Wilson is the player manager of Newquay based team The Smurfs who have participated in every UK Sevens so far. They put the A into average as each year they have crashed out early in the knockout rounds. 2011 was their most successful campaign as they crashed out of the Memorial Cup in the semi-finals.
	Christopher Martin Nicholls - Manchester Valiant Manchester Valiant's Roman Abramovichesque player-owner Chris Martin Nicholls has brought the Valiant down to UKSevens 3 times now and every year they have looked to be one of the teams to beat. 2008 wasn't their best year, in 2010 they went out in the quarter's 2-1 to eventual winners the Acad Boys and in 2011 after finishing Saturday's group qualifying as one of the top seeds they failed to show on the Sunday after a Saturday evening which many describe as the inspiration for the 'Hangover' films.
	Ashraf Hasan - Shoe Army The Shoe Army's director of football Ashraf Hasan is a UK7 veteran. having played in the tournament as an undergraduate, he had also played as a graduate and may be coming back in 2012 to play as an OAP. The Shoe's have always been famous for there all singing and dancing approach to the UK7 tournament and they are also world beaters when it comes to team flags, however, in 2011 there footballing skills shone through as The Shoe's overcame massive odds to book a place in the National Championship final against the Rowdies. There wasn't to be a fairy tale ending as the Shoe's lost 2-0 as the Rowdies won their third title, however, Ashraf unbelievable performances in goal on the Sunday as he performed heroics in their quarter and semi-final penalty shootout wins was enough to win the the 2011 'Player of the Tournament' award.
